Hi-Bird launches eight bicycles; price starts at Rs 3k

Bicyle maker Hi-Bird today said it has launched a range of eight models in various markets across the globe and has priced them at Rs 3,000 onwards in the domestic market.

"The new generation bikes have been simultaneously launched in various other countries across six continents, including Europe and America," Hi-Bird Chairman R D Sharma said in a statement.

The bikes are competing directly with many well known brands abroad, he added.

The company, which is one of the leading exporter of bicycles, said the new products are mainly targeted at the young people in the domestic market.

With the introduction of these models, the company's total product range has increased to over 135 bicycles.

The company currently has a network of 2,500 dealers and is planning to expand it to 4,000 dealers across the country.
