HCL Tech joins hands with Wellogic

Wellogic, a US-based software solution provider for the healthcare community.

The company has entered into a partnership with Wellogic to provide health records management solutions that enable safer, more efficient care delivery across healthcare industry, HCL Technologies said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"We look forward to collaborating with Wellogic and further expanding our services offerings in the healthcare sector," Life Sciences and Health Care Practice Vice President Pradep Nair said.

Through this partnership, customer organisations can leverage Wellogic's innovative solutions coupled with HCL's healthcare technology resources, the company said.

Wellogic, which operates in health-information exchange, electronic health record and personal health record solutions, would take advantage of HCL's global presence, professional services to help clients, the filing added.

"Partnering with HCL is an ideal way for Wellogic to bring our web based connectivity solutions to the global healthcare industry, helping to solve the critical challenges face by physicians and caregivers, patients, health systems and health information exchanges," Wellogic President and Chief Executive Officer Sumit Negpal said.

Shares of HCL Technologies were trading at Rs 377.65 on BSE, down 1.14 per cent from previous close.
