Goldman Sachs buys 3.78 lakh shares of Bharti Infratel

Foreign fund house Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius Ltd today picked up 3.78 lakh shares

in telecom tower company Bharti Infratel for over Rs 7 crore.

The shares were purchased from DB International (Asia) through open market transaction.

According to the information available with the stock exchanges, Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius bought 3.78 lakh shares (amounting to 0.02 per cent stake) of Bharti Infratel, a unit of telecom major Bharti Airtel.

The scrips were purchased on an average price of Rs 191.9 valuing the deal size to Rs 7.25 crore.

Sunil Bharti Mittal led-Bharti Infratel got listed on the stock exchanges in December.

Shares of Bharti Infratel slipped 0.44 per cent to settle at Rs 191 apiece on the BSE.
