Dr Reddy's Q4 net up by 62.1%

Drug firm Dr Reddy's Laboratories today reported a 62.1 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 253.16 crore for the quarter ended on March 31, 2010.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 156.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, the company said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.

During the quarter, total income rose to Rs 1,160.83 crore from Rs 1,053.27 crore in the comparable period previous fiscal.

For the financial year ended on March 31, the net profit stood Rs 846.08 crore against Rs 560.8 crore in the previous financial year.

The company's total income in the last fiscal stood at Rs 4,432.74 crore as against Rs 4,041.87 crore in the previous fiscal, thus registering a 9.6 per cent growth, the filing said.
