Dena Bank Q3 profit up 10.6% at Rs 206 cr

Dena Bank today reported a 10.6 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 206.44 crore for the third quarter ending December 2012.

The public-sector bank had a net profit of Rs 186.68 crore in the October-December quarter of 2011-12 fiscal.

The total income of the bank rose to Rs 2,408.42 crore during the third quarter from Rs 1,810.21 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, Dena Bank said in a filing to the BSE.

For the first nine months of 2012-13, the bank has clocked 24.87 per cent rise in net profit, to Rs 684.72 crore, from Rs 548.35 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

The bank reported a total income of Rs 7,015.11 crore in the first three quarters, compared to Rs 5,209.94 crore in the same period last financial year.

Shares of the bank closed at Rs 110.45 per unit, down 1.78 per cent on the BSE.
