Dabur Q3 net profit up 12% at Rs 173 cr

FMCG major Dabur India today reported 11.90 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 172.82 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 154.44 crore in the same period last year, Dabur India said in a filing to the BSE.

The total income during the third quarter also soared by 34.61 per cent to Rs 1,463.08 crore from Rs 1,086.88 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

During the quarter, the company had paid an interim dividend

of Re 0.55 per equity share against a face value of Re 1 a share.

This resulted in a total outgo of Rs 111.35 crore, the filing said.

Reacting to the results, shares of the company were trading

1.62 per cent up at Rs 94.35 apiece on the BSE in afternoon trade.
