Coal India shares rise on $3 billion interim dividend

Shares in State-run Coal India Ltd rise 2.3 per cent in trade after the company on Tuesday said it will pay an interim dividend of Rs 29 a share, or Rs 183.2 billion, in the current fiscal year.

The government's 90 per cent shareholding in the company will fetch it about $2.7 billion.
