CavinKare to set up 30 salons soon

Chennai-based fast moving consumer goods company CavinKare is planning to expand its beauty care business by setting up as many as 30 family salons in north, east and western regions. Trends in Vogue, a CavinKare group company, which looks after the salon business, will open 25 popular Green Trends outlets and five premium Limelite salons.

“This year we wish to consolidate both the brands in the south and venture into other regions. Limelite being a premium brand, will mainly look at metros and cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad,” T D Mohan, director of CavinKare, told Financial Chronicle. Baroda, Surat, Patna and Chandigarh are some of the few cities where Green Trends salons are coming up. “Typically, Green Trend outlets occupy 1,300 to 2,000 sq ft space and Limelite 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft area. Limelite caters to uber-rich customers in metros, whereas the popular brand Green Trend helps us penetrate into smaller cities,” he said.

Trends in Vogue has 60 salons under both the brands, more than 25 of which was opened last financial year.
