Bajaj sees best ever motorcycle sales in Sept; up 18%

The country's second largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto today reported its highest ever monthly

motorcycle sales at 3,71,208 units in September, registering a jump of 18.03 per cent.

The company had sold 3,14,515 units in the corresponding month last year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.

The statement said last month's sales were the "highest ever motorcycle sales".

BAL recorded its highest ever exports for September at 1,41,913 units compared to 1,01,960 units in September 2010, a growth of 39.18 per cent.

The company also witnessed its best figures so far in the three-wheeler segment during last month to 46,478 units as against 38,254 units in the same month last year, registering a jump of 21.50 per cent.

Total vehicle sales of the company in last month stood at 4,17,686 units compared to 3,52,769 units in the same period a year ago, a growth of 18.40 per cent, the statement said.
