Ashok Soota, former chairman of IT firm MindTree, today sold 13.54 lakh shares of

the company worth Rs 64.32 through open market transaction.

Soota sold 13,54,130 shares of MindTree for Rs 475 a piece via a bulk deal, according to data available with the National Stock Exchange.

Besides, Coffee Day Resorts have bought 13,60,000 equities of the IT firm at a price of Rs 474.98 apiece taking the transaction size to Rs 64.59 crore, it added.

As of December quarter, Soota held 14,20,655 shares, or 3.51 per cent stake in the company and Coffee Day Resort held 14,60,000 equities, or 3.61 per cent ownership in the company.

In June last year, Soota sold half of his 11.4 per cent stake (5.5 per cent stake) in the company in a block deal to Cafe Coffee Day group's owner V G Siddhartha.

Shares of MindTree closed at Rs 442 a piece on the NSE, down 0.69 per cent from the previous close.
