Ashok Leyland sales up 34% in Jan

Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland today reported 33.58 per cent jump in total

The company had sold 7,711 units in the corresponding period of 2011, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.

Major auto makers in the country, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai,

Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp, posted an increase in sales during

January, indicating buoyancy in the auto market in the new year after

prolonged sluggishness.
