Apollo posts 30% growth in net profit

APOLLO Hospitals posted 30 per cent growth in the net profit during the quarter

ended June 30, against the same quarter last year.

The net profit grew to Rs 51 crore from Rs 39 crore.

The firm clocked Rs 641crore revenue in the quarter, registering a growth of 22 per cent over Rs 523 crore in the year-ago period.

The pharmacy segment of the company made a profit before tax and interest of Rs 29 lakh against a loss of Rs 4.41 crore.

Apollo added 21 stores in Q1FY12, taking its network to 1,220 operational stores by June 30, 2011.

The like-for-like growth in revenues per store for the batch of pharmacies opened prior to March 2007 was 16.5 per cent in Q1FY12, the company said in a release.
