crore from Rs 45.8 crore during the year-ago period. Revenue grew by 19 per cent and EBITDA rose 25.5 per cent.

For the quarter ended December 31, 2011, Apollo posted a revenue of Rs 714 crore against Rs 600 crore in the same period last year. EBITDA grew from Rs 94 crore to Rs 118 crore.

During the nine month period ended December 31, 2011, revenue grew 20 per cent to Rs 2055 crore, EBITDA 21.9 per cent to Rs 344 crore and PAT grew by 27 per cent to Rs 171 crore.

Revenues of the hospital division increased by 14.6 per cent to Rs 490 crore and pharmacies reported sustained growth at Rs 224 crore, growing 29.6 per cent.

The company continued to consolidate its pan-India presence in pharmacies as it added 33 stores on a net basis in Q3FY12, taking its network to 1,290 operational stores by December 31, 2011. During Q3, it added 40 stores and closed 7 under-performing stores.

“Growth rates in the standalone entity as well as at the consolidated level have been equally strong indicating that all our businesses are contributing to this performance,” Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals said.
