ABB bags Rs 506-cr power project from BMRCL

Engineering company ABB Ltd today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 506 crore from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) for power related works.

The company would design, supply and install four substations for a planned metro network in Bangalore, ABB said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

"We are proud to partner with BMRCL in this endeavour to provide an efficient supply of power to the Namma metro," ABB India Vice-Chairman and Manging Director Biplab Majumder said.

The company would supply various products, including transformers and switchgear as a part of the contract, the filing said.

Shares of ABB were trading at Rs 737.05 on BSE, up 0.60 per cent from its previous close
