“We want to localise all production in India and for that we need to have certain volumes. That’s why our (Renault’s) platforms and engines are going to be shared by Nissan,” said Ghosn.
“Renault will have many more products and not just sell one product (Logan) which was put out to test the Indian market,” added Ghosn.
Ghosn will meet Hinduja, Rajiv Bajaj and Pawan Goenka to re-evaluate partnerships with Ashok Leyland, Bajaj and M&M, respectively.
