In Kerala, GM is looking to sell 300 units of the premium sedan per month, company's Vice President P Balendran told reporters here.
The market was 'absolutely sluggish' as interest rates continues to be high, he said, adding, until the interest rates come down further, market will not improve.
Balendran said there are no plans for exporting the Chevrolet Sail from India as GM is keen to concentrate on the domestic market. The Sail model is being exported to at least 16 countries from China, he said.
The new car is available in seven exterior colours and is available in petrol and diesel versions. While the price of petrol version (ex-showroom Kochi) ranges from Rs 5.61 lakh to Rs 7.21 lakh, the diesel version is priced between Rs 7.07 lakh to Rs 8.43 lakh.
GM at present has 12 authorised service centres in the state and plans are to take it to 15 this year.
Stating that the company is very upbeat about the Kerala market, he said last yeary 8,500 units of various models of Chevrolet were sold in the state and this year the company is eyeing sales of 13,500 units.
The 'Enjoy' will be launched in both diesel and petrol versions in two month times, he said.
