British Airways opens new route with low fare

British Airways has announced a one-off introductory low fare to celebrate the launch of its latest route from India.

Customers can fly from Hyderabad to UK at a fare of Rs 90 and Hyderabad to 22 North American destinations for Rs 990, a BA release said here today.

The fare is valid for the World Traveler (economy class) cabin from the airline's first day of operation in Hyderabad, December 7, 2008 up to January 21, 2009 inbound until March 2009.

"We are very excited about this new addition to our network in India. India is a very important market for us and we would like to commemorate this route with a one-off fare for our customers," British Airway's Area Commercial Manager for South Asia, Amanda Amos.

British Airways will be operating five flights a week from Hyderabad to London taking its tally to 48 weekly flights from six cities in India to the UK, Amanda said.
