In its maiden television commercials (TVC), NesPlus, therefore, focuses how a ‘Kadak’ breakfast combined with mother’s love is the driving force to wake us up every morning. The TVC also highlights the tasty and healthy aspect of the product with a focus on how NesPlus breakfast cereals remain crunchy even in warm milk until the last bite. The initiative aims at bringing NesPlus’ Kadak campaign to life, top company officials said.

With Nesplus, Nestle has expanded its current portfolio of coffee, yogurt, curd, oats, noodles and milk and added packaged breakfast products. Significantly, according to market research firm Euromonitor International, India’s breakfast cereal market is forecast to expand to Rs 2,610 crore by 2020 from Rs 1,440 crore in 2015. And the battle to control this growing market is likely to hot up with Nestle now trying to take on the US-based Kellogg’s, which, at present, enjoys a 30 per cent market share in the India’s breakfast cereal market, and another US food and beverage maker PepsiCo trying to crack the market with packaged local food items like idli, dosa, upma and khichdi in ready-to-cook form.
Significantly, NesPlus was rolled out in India as recently as July, 2018, through the first of its kind digital first approach on Amazon’s Prime Day. This was the first ever FMCG launch on Amazon prime which resulted in over a million interactions with the brand within the first week of activation even prior to the launch. A record sale of 1 unit of NesPlus every 3 seconds post launch was registered for NesPlus breakfast cereals.
Chopra had earlier said, “The launch of NesPlus through a digital-first approach marks an important milestone in the brand’s journey. We are extremely overwhelmed by the response that NesPlus has received for Prime Day across the towns and cities of India. NesPlus became no. 1 in the gourmet section of grocery and sold 1 unit every 3 seconds within hours of being on sale. With consumers increasingly opting for solutions online, it has become vital for all brands to move towards an integrated plan of action. Over a million customers have already interacted with the brand so far through the various online initiatives, specially the Virtual Reality integration. The campaign revolves around the morning routine of mothers with their children showcasing how they get them ready for school every day. The mothers are shown serving NesPlus breakfast cereals to their children for a ‘Kadak’ start. Filled with the goodness of 4 grains wheat, rice, jowar and oats, NesPlus breakfast cereals give ‘4 grains ka Kadak dose’ just like a mother’s ‘Kadak’ love.
