Rs 32,246 crore in 2010-2011, with NYSE-listed Genpact leading the pack at Rs 5,680 crore.

Genpact grew by 24% and earned a revenue of Rs 5,680 crore, followed by the BPO arm of TCS which grew by 25% with revenue of Rs 3,928 crore, according to data released by industry journal Dataquest.

After Genpact and the TCS' BPO, Essar group company Aegis BPO grew by 28% to occupy the third position among the top 20 Indian BPO companies, with revenue of Rs 2,352 crore, the journal said.

The next seven slots number 4 to 10 -- were occupied by Wipro BPO (Rs 2,249 crore, growth 7%); Firstsource Solutions (Rs 1,833 crore, 6%); WNS Global Solutions (Rs 1,685 crore, minus 7%); Infosys BPO (Rs 1,545 crore, 12%); Aditya Birla Minacs (Rs 1,518 crore, 8%); Accenture India (Rs 1,436 crore, 27%) and IBM Global Process Services (Rs 1,292 crore, 7%), it said.

The journal said the top BPO companies posted revenue of Rs 32,246 crore in 2010-11 (April 2010 to March 2011) maintaining a growth rate of 13%, the same as the previous year.

The number of people employed by top 20 BPO firms went up to 3,11,167 or 12% over the year maintaining a revenue productivity of about Rs 10 lakh per employee a year, it added.
