Recently Indian cricket team lost its test match series by 2-1 against Sri Lanka. The hero of the series was a 23 years old chap named Ajanta Mendis, who made his debut in this series. And in these three test matches he was the only player who made the difference. He got 26 wickets in these test matches. Mendis became the first Sri Lankan to take eight wickets on Test debut.
With 25 wickets so far in his debut series, he broke the record set by English pacer Alec Bedser more than 60 years back. In that series players of the Indian team were looking like a fresh chicken, who could not do anything in front of a butcher’s (Ajanta Mendis) knife. They were totally feeble in front of him.
Great players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sauabh Ganguly and Rahul Dravid scored 95 runs, 96 runs and 148 runs respectively with an average of 15.83, 16 and 24.66 respectivly.
Even Kumble failed to show his “kamaal” in that series.
Now the question arises whether “Dhoni ke Dhurandar” can do anything in this upcoming one day international series which is going to start from this Monday i.e. 18 August. Will Mendis and Murali show their magic again?
We cannot say anything right now we can only predict. What’s going to happen.? Who will win the series?
LETS CHEER FOR INDIA.
