Bijapurkar is a member of the governing council of the Banking Codes and Standards Board of India, the Insurance Information Bureau of India, and is a member of the Eminent Person Advisory Group of the Competition Commission.

She also serves on the board of governors of IIM-Ahmedabad, her alma mater, where she is also a regular visiting faculty.
