The representative office will be engaged primarily in promoting the bank's retail NRI products and services as well as in facilitating transactions between the bank's branches and the NRIs based in the UAE, Axis Bank said in a statement.

The representative office in Abu Dhabi is the second such office of Axis Bank in the UAE, the first being in Dubai.

Besides, the bank has presence in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
