Ybrant Digital acquires Argentine firm

Hyderabad-based Ybrant Digital has acquired Argentina-based ad network company, dream ad. Ybrant, though, did not disclose the size of the all-cash deal.

This is one of the several acquisitions that the online marketing firm has done in the past three years. Since 2006, Ybrant has acquired Oridian for $13.5 million, AdDynamix for $10 million, Medios One for $4 million and VoloMP for $2.2 million.

Other than Argentina, dream ad is also present in other Latin American countries such as Mexico, Uruguay and Chile. This would help Ybrant in strengthening its foothold in the region, which has seen rapid growth in the advertising industry, the company said. Argentina is a $2.5 billion advertising market with a $70 million online spend, while Chile has a market size of $900 million.

Established six years ago, dream ad has 300 clients on its list. It has worked with firms such as Microsoft Advertising, MTV, eBuddy, Fotolog and Sonico among others. It has also been involved with Ybrant’s subsidiary, Oridian.

Dream ad is the exclusive sales house for Microsoft Advertising in the South Cone Region, comprising parts of southern South America. It’s one of the main online players in Argentina, alongside Google, Clarin, La Nacion, and Yahoo.
