Season to go bold with colours

I’d say orange is a safe choice for people with varied taste buds. The colour orange — bright or even in the shade of kesar—works hard to get noticed. As desis or Indians orange suits most of us from the very pale skin tones to the very dark tawny skin types. People who love orange are said to be extroverts and adventure lovers. They don’t shy away from a good time. For boys or men, sports shops have great options in approximately under Rs 2,400 for an orange clothe piece. Fabindia, stocks khadis in lovely shades of orange, its easy on the pocket. A traditional sari in orange; bandhini, lehariya, woven, kerela looms would flatter any shape and face.
While, a colour like yellow adds a glow to your face making it radiant without much effort. The yellow of the summer is vibrant, it radiates light, it’s not afraid to be noticed, people who are fans of this colour are not afraid of being noticed, of course the down side being that they may be viewed as slightly egoistical. Dark skin, in my opinion, looks great in yellow. Even if it’s a flowery kind of bumble bee-ish, it looks dramatic. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepping off the chariot in Cannes was really a vision in her yellow sari. Women with dark skin are dramatic. They can pull off bright shades without looking gawky. Of course Aishwariya has a pale skin but yellow is great on dark and pale skin, equally.
Green is another colour that’s flattering. The colour green means a healthy world. Green lovers are generous and caring. Green also stands for envy as the popular adage goes. From mint, aqua lime green, olive. Mints and aquas really look fresh and cool especially in standard cottons, muslins, etc.
Like green, blue too is associated with freshness. Blue addicts like the sky are peaceful people. The shades of blue are innumerable, from powder blue, turquoise, navy even a peacock blue is a colour to be worn. Navy for all of us, black lovers, gives a great option. Blue in plain chiffons, georgette works really well, to bring out the depth and intensity of one feature. Then there is purple — my last but not the least. Deep purple is the colour for a prince or even passion. Purple people are mysterious — eggplant is my favourite purple, it crosses one to winter and is investment friendly as such.
Violet, lavender, deep purple are to be hunted and found. Lavender really warms the face almost like a bronze its reflective I propose. Hard to maintain though — it’s my favourite this season though I’ve been wearing a fresher shade of purple. Must stock up on my loves.
