Pyramids to calm the souls
The basic human need is to have a happy home, filled with peace, harmony, health and prosperity. And to bring about this much required equilibrium, here is another concept that will guarantee you the mental peace and physical health — Pyravaastu.

Pyravaastu is a complementary art to Feng Shui but its dynamic action starts exactly at the opposite end. It deals with the vital forces or the root behind every action. It is an innovative concept of subtle correction with pyramids. It deals with our power and with our mind, body and emotions.

The art of Pyravaastu comes from pyramids, in which pyra stands for fire, the universal life energy or cosmic force, while mid means middle. So a pyramid harnesses cosmic energy and preserves it. It is a common belief that pyramid-like structures are used to rejuvenate the human body and mind.

“To make your house vaastu proof, you can place pyramids at different positions of the house and pyra strips as well,” says Neelam Kewlani, a vaastu expert in Bangalore. If you have a toilet attached to your bedroom, then it indicates the inflow of negative energy. To avoid this, one can keep a bowl of salt in the bathroom and change it every month, she adds.

In addition, one can place pyra strips on corners to make it vaastu friendly, Kewlani says. Keeping metal tortoise half immersed in water in the northern corner of the house will bring good opportunity, while placing a laughing Buddha opposite to the entrance brings about positive vibes.

Again, it is not a good idea to place a mirror across from the entrance and build a bathroom in the western end of the house because it signifies children. In addition, it is better to face north or east while studying or worshipping.

In addition, keeping tulsi and rubber plants in the northern side of the house will purify the air and one should design the house in a way that will allow maximum entry of sunlight and cross-ventilation.

On an average, the cost to make a house vaastu friendly ranges between Rs 8,000 and Rs 12,000.

The principles of Pyravaastu are formulated keeping in mind the cosmic influence of the sun, its heat and light, solar energy, wind directions, the position of the moon, and the earth’s magnetic field. These elements focus on pushing aside negative energies.

So, try Pyravaastu and get a well-balanced life!
